Tickets & Pricing
Tickets are what your attendees choose during registration. Every attendee picks at least one ticket, whether your event is free or paid. A ticket carries a name, a price, and a few optional rules that control when it's available and how many you'll sell.
Free vs. paid tickets
A ticket can cost anything you like, including nothing.
- Free tickets are priced at $0. Attendees still register and receive confirmation, but there's no payment step for that ticket.
- Paid tickets collect money at checkout. To accept payments you'll first need to connect Stripe.
You can mix free and paid tickets in the same event, for example a free "General Admission" alongside a paid "VIP".
What you can control
Each ticket supports a handful of settings. Here's the map of everything in this section:
- Ticket types, create tickets, name them, set prices, and control their order and visibility.
- Availability & quantity, set sale windows, cap how many you sell, and understand how held spots (reservations) work.
- Groups, segment attendees into registration types like Member, Student, or Guest, and show different tickets or prices to each.
- Add-ons, offer extra items like merch or meals during registration.
- Refund policies, attach rules that decide how much is refunded and when.
- Fees, understand the small platform fee and choose who pays it.
tip
Start simple. A single ticket at one price is often all you need for a first event. You can always add more tickets, groups, and rules later.
