What is Sunfish Events

Sunfish Events is an all-in-one platform for running events. You create an event, build a public page for it, sell or give away tickets, collect the registration details you need, take payment, and manage everyone who signs up, all from one dashboard.

Whether you're hosting a free community meetup or a paid conference with hundreds of attendees, the same building blocks apply. Here's the vocabulary you'll see throughout this guide.

The words you'll see

Organization, This is your account and your brand. It holds your team members, your logo and colors, and your payment setup. Everything you create lives under your organization, and one organization can run many events.

Event, A single thing you're hosting, like a gala, workshop, or race. Each event has its own settings, a landing page, tickets, registration questions, and emails. Most of your day-to-day work happens inside an event.

Ticket, What an attendee buys or selects to register. A ticket can be free or paid, and you can set a quantity limit and a window of dates when it's available.

Group (registration type), An optional way to sort your attendees into categories, such as "Member" and "Guest." Groups let you show different tickets, ask different questions, or charge different prices depending on who's registering. You can turn groups on or off per event; when off, everyone uses one default group.

Order, A completed registration's purchase. Each order has its own order number, which is handy for looking things up and for support.

Attendee, A person who has registered for your event. You can view, edit, check in, and message your attendees from the dashboard.

Landing page, The public page for your event, where people learn about it and register. You control how it looks and what it says.
