Overview
When someone registers for a paid event, Sunfish creates an order to hold everything about that purchase, who registered, what they bought, and what they paid. This section walks through how orders work, how money moves, and what to do when a registration needs to change.
Managing orders
Your event keeps a list of every order placed for it. This is where you go to check what someone bought, confirm whether they've paid, and follow up if a payment is still outstanding.
Modifying a registration
Plans change. Someone books the standard ticket and then wants the premium one, or they need to drop down to a cheaper option. Sunfish lets you change what an attendee registered for, and it works out the money difference for you so you don't have to do the math by hand.
Refunds & cancellations
Sometimes an attendee can't make it, or you need to remove them from your event. Sunfish lets you cancel a registration and, when money has changed hands, return some or all of it.
Disputes
Once in a while, an attendee contacts their bank or card company to challenge a charge instead of coming to you. This is called a dispute (you may also hear it called a chargeback). It's a normal part of taking card payments, and there's a clear way to handle it.
Payouts
When attendees pay for your event, that money is yours, Sunfish never holds it. This page explains how it reaches your bank account.
